Bandstra opened their Prince George terminal in 2000 to start connecting Northern BC with the South, as well as Alberta, with next-day service to Vancouver and Edmonton.
The terminal expanded to a bigger cross-dock facility in 2012. Then in 2017, they expanded it yet again for another cross-dock facility. The Prince George terminal has 43 doors in one and ten doors in the other one, so they can be very efficient with their freight movement.
We are very efficient with our freight movement. Our on time service is great.
The team at the Prince George terminal knows how the sense of community defines Prince George, particularly when it comes to disasters such as the 2021 Atmospheric River that hit BC hard.
It took every single part of our administration to come together, whether it's from Rupert, Terrace, Kitimat, Smithers, Prince George, Kamloops, Edmonton and Abbotsford, to all come together daily, to really come up with solutions to our problems.
That sense of community starts at the terminal, where the people are the secret to a team that works amazing together.
It's our people that make it the great place with coaching and mentoring from our management team, and it goes all the way down to our to our leaders and to our dock staff. We promote a very positive workplace, and it really shows with our work ethic from all of our employees and every one of our employees.
